Kids Karate - 35.jpg (39409 bytes)

Because kids develop differently to adults, it can often seem like they do not pick a lot up at times. Most childrens attention span is limited due to the fact they are taking in so much of what goes on around them. Our Kids karate classes are designed to give maximum training time accompanied by rest or play time. I have found that when the class time is broken up into segments of training, teaching and activity time it gives them the ability to get the most out of each session. While some times children are board with the monotany of constant action , we endeavour to make it fun for them to learn.

Classes include:

  1.   Warm ups and Stretching

  2. Self Defence applications

  3. Partner Training

    Technique and Skill Development

  4. Pad Training

  5. Kata Training

  6. Touch Contact Sparring

Kata (- great for developmental growth and self-esteem building)

Each level of trainig has a technical requriement for gradings called kata (sometimes called forms or patterns). These patterns of technique serve not only to learn new physical movements but to adjust ones focus and intent.
