Fabricio Mendonca is a Brazilian Jiu Jitsu Brown Belt under Master Gustavo Toledo (Brazilian Top Team). He brings to North Suburbs of Brisbane great BJJ experience and knowledge. Whether you’re a beginner, an advanced practitioner or a competitor, Fabricio provides BJJ training in a friendly, safe and professional environment.

Fabricio Mendonca was born and raised in Sao Paulo, Brazil. Fabricio's cousin and best friend started training Brazilian Jiu-Jitsu (BJJ) in 1997, and after a couple of years later Fabricio decided to start training too. Fabricio was twenty one at the time and he loved the martial art from the beginning. His first instructor was the 6th Degree Jiu-Jitsu Black Belt  Totila Jordan Neto “Pitoco” at the Infight Jiu-Jitsu Academy.

After two years in the USA, Fabricio went back to Brazil and decided to join the Infight Jiu-Jitsu Team again now under instructor – Master Paulo Nardy. At Infght Jiu-Jitsu, Fabricio had the chance to train with some of the best instructors and fighters in Brazil.

Fabricio moved to Australia in 2007 where he met and joined the Brazilian Top Team Black Belt – Gustavo “Bomba” Toledo. Fabricio was awarded his Brown Belt in 2008 and since then he has been improving his techniques and teaching a fine Brazilian Jiu Jitsu. As an instructor he has led his team to many victories in Grappling tournaments in Australia. He is the founder and second instructor of the Brazilian Top Team Australia in Adelaide. He has recently moved to Queensland and engaged to the new project called BROZ Jiu Jitsu.

BROZ is a new project of Brazilian Jiu Jitsu created to develop new training techniques for jiu-jitsu.

At BROZ we train Gi and No Gi so we can get the benefits from both styles. We have students from 10-60 years old, males and females, no experience in martial arts required. Join our group, get fit, make friends and have fun.

Fabricio Mendonca: "Everything I learned in Jiu-Jitsu was revolved around competing, I always went for the submission against my opponents. Today, I feel a great sense of accomplishment not only as a competitor but also as an instructor. I have been learning a lot through teaching because I am seeing things from a different perspective. I love teaching Jiu-Jitsu and I try to make my students feel like they can accomplish anything they want as long as they work hard for it."
