Posted 20th May 2009 I have put up the new Anderson Bushi Kai website (version 1) for any comments. It should be transferred over to the domain as soon as I can get it organised.
Posted 17th May 2009 Last night at the Redcliffe PCYC, Blake Rogers, Steve Wooley & Nathan Barden all came away with a win. The guys have been training very hard and consistantly for the past couple of months for the results they received last night. Blake (16) had his first fight, which is probably the most daunting. Having his oponent on the ropes a couple of times certainly helped him with the unanimous points decision for the trophy. Nathan fought fight number 8 and will it took him a round to get warmed up, he managed to outscore his opponent using his hands. His opponent made a comment that he 'bangs hard'. Nathan had quite a few kicks land on the legs which may take some time to heal. Steve had a bit of a hiccup with his fightpreparations. He was supposed to fight number 10 giving him some time to warm up after I'd finished with Nathan's fight, however, the number 9 fight withdrew so Steve had to get in sooner than he expected. Even without the best preparation, Steve took a few moments to realise the time to fight was now, swithched into gear and took the points for the fight. I am very proud of the guys for their efforts and dedication over the past weeks and months. You have made the whole club proud. Congratulations & thanks guys. - Kru Steve
Posted 29th March 2009 Just uploaded some pics from todays grading. Well done guys and gal on some really good stuff today. I had a few good comments from the hierarchy about your performances - which is always good to let us know we are on track with keeping the style strong. After a lengthy conversation with O'Kaicho I will now be responsible for the upkeep of the Anderson Bushi Kai website as well as our club site, so I better make sure I'm on top of it. test pages 1 2 3 4 News while I remember - next gradings are on the 14th June 2009. Posted 19th March 2009 Time goes by so fast. The year has most certainly kicked off with a bang. There are a few events coming up soon you may need to know about.
